Microsoft Surface tab to release in U.S. on October 26

Statement from Microsoft’s filing of its annual report at U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission confirms Surface tablet’s release date – Surface will be available along with Windows 8 – October 26.
“The next version of our operating system, Windows 8, will be generally available on October 26, 2012. At that time, we will begin selling the Surface, a series of Microsoft-designed and manufactured hardware devices.”
– Microsoft’s statement from the filing, under Operating Segments, BUSINESS.
Well, that clarified the best part that you wanted to know. Surface tab might not be released with Windows 8 Pro (Intel-based) version, rather it’s could be the RT version powered by ARM processor. Going by what announced earlier, consumers can avail Windows 8 Pro tablets 90 days after the availability of Windows RT. No pricing revealed but there’s some speculations for that – Windows RT tablets could be priced at a range of $500-$600 and Windows 8 Pro tablets could get tags below or above $1000.
