Airtel to launch 4G in Kolkata today, Bangalore might be next; 4G tariff page was live for sometime

TOI sources told them that Airtel would be launching 4G service in Kolkata on 10th, today. And it’s also believed that Kapil Sibbal, minister of Department of Telecommunication will inaugurate the service. Last night Airtel’s site displayed 4G tariff webpage, however it’s pulled off now. Airtel might not launch a 4G smartphone today, but is likely to bring a TD-LTE based USB dongle and a 4G wireless router. The tariff (below) isn’t much different than that of 3G and EVDO dongles available in market, and indeed the FUP sucks. We’ll keep track of today’s launch, and rejoice Kolkata for getting 4G first!
By the way, the webpage’s coverage section also displayed coming soon to Bengaluru.
