Opera releases My Opera Mail, works with your Opera account

Your Opera account is what you use for your My Opera, Opera Unite and Opera Link – but with the new My Opera Mail Beta, that account just got a new meaning. So, if you have got a opera account, add @myopera.com to it – you just got a new email address. You can access the brand new My Opera Mail now by visiting https://mail.opera.com/. And remember, your Opera account is now also the key to access My Opera Mail.

Our goal is to make a fast and friendly mail service that is efficient and easy to use on any device, whether you prefer to access your e-mail from Opera Mini on a mobile phone (dedicated mobile interface), a tablet with touch interface (large, comfortable buttons) or a desktop computer (extensive keyboard shortcuts).

My Opera Mail is nothing but rewritten FastMail.FM as an AJAX application to take advantage of modern browsers and speed up the entire experience. The mail offers you a 1GB space, an elegant design, it’s simply fast just like other Opera Services and also has a feature called conversation view, which is nothing but threaded mail. Since, it’s still in beta you can expect more features and space during the beta as well as after.
