Dell's Venue and Venue Pro launch at Bangalore

Late but lightning, thunder all at once struck India today, this time for real! Dell has priced Venue at Rs. 29,999 and Venue Pro at Rs. 34,990 and that makes Venue Pro the most expensive WP7 device available in India. We believe that Dell justifies Venue Pro’s price by its premium hardware which includes a unique sliding vertical QWERTY keypad,  and a 4.1 inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass display. Also, if you remember we earlier reported that Dell Venue is listed on Flipcart, at a price tag of Rs. 28,499. That means, you can expect a lower price than the official in retail stores.

With the launch of these two new smartphones, Dell’s mobile portfolio has expanded to a total of five smartphones in India. But as far as Dell Venue is considered it’s a bit late now. One of the reason is the fact that dual-core smartphones are now real. But still that’s not going to stop people who were eagerly waiting for its launch.

The specifications of the two phones are almost same, Venue has got a 8 megapixel camera while Venue Pro has only 5 megapixel camera but with 720p HD video recording. Both the 3.5G phones are powered by a 1GHz processor and features all the basics – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc. So, are you going to buy one of them or wait for Mobile World Congress later this month to meet Galaxy S 2 and more smarter smartphones?

    1. Not sure how much this will succeed in India.

    2. It all depends on how Dell promotes them.. And it seems, only Streak’s on promotion.
