Aspire One D260 launched with PhotonPlus, embedded inside

The Acer AO D260 netbook is now available with PhotonPlus embedded within the core of this little wonder enabling more mobility with the netbook.

Like every other netbook D260 has the Atom “inside” which is 1.66GHz. It’s 10.1 inch display, got Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and of course PhotonPlus connectivity. A gigs of DDR2 RAM is inside with 160 GB hard disk. Battery life, according to the company, is limited to 8 hrs – it got 6 cell battery. It comes with Windows 7 Starter. It also has a 1.3MP webcam, and a multi-touch touchpad. Tata PhotonPlus plans for this netbook are same as for the stand-alone PhotonPlus USB stick. One more thing, PhotonPlus is based on EVDO technology on CDMA cellular network, giving a speed of up to 3.1MBps (similar to a 3G.)

Now the price factor – it’s Rs. 17,999 … and taxes are excluded!
