Update: YouTube goes super HD, 4096p videos anyone?

We all do know about 1080p videos, many of us even got 1080p HD TV in our homes with these new DTH services. Well, now YouTube brings you 4096p videos, a straight jump from 1080p.

As you can see above, the quality is just amazing, the image may take a while to load full cause we wanted you to see it in its true quality ( the pics uploaded are not in true HD those have been compressed to save loading time). While the video is in amazing quality, if we go a bit of to the technical side, the bitrate has been increased by just 25% over the 1080p, while the pixel density is increased by 600% – giving an overall lower quality than 1080p, atleast till YouTube increases bitrate – which then will increase the total file size of video, but quality too.

Ignoring the technical stuff, and just seeing the video itself – is a different story. The quality is so amazing and astonishing, its jaw dropping. Though, since the resolution is 4096 x 1706, the flash player laggs if your graphics processor and processor is not strong enough, on our computers, all cores were on 100% for the whole while when video was playing. Update: YouTube Super HD videos are not 4000p, the Original resolution is currently defined as 4096p.
