  • Google Android Tablet confirmed from Verizon’s chief executive

    Just like the Nexus One, or let’s say Droid Incredible, Google with Verizon Wireless making tablet computer powered by Android OS. There’s no surprise I guess. After the innovative iPad, you witnessed news and rumors regarding upcoming tablets, iPad killer running on mobile operating systems like Blackberry, Android.

    Anyway, the Google tablet project have become official now. Lowell McAdam, chief executive of Verizon Wireless said WSJ in an interview that Google and Verizon are working together for the tablet project. McAdam just didn’t stated the third party that will provide the hardware to the tablet.

    McAdam stated in the interview, “What do we think the next big wave of opportunities are? We’re working on tablets together, for example. We’re looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience.”

    Remember we saw an Android powered tablet, a prototype at the Adobe booth at Web 2.0 exhibition. The prototype might be one of those, or the one that Google and Verizon working on.
