It seems Microsoft has started to send prototype phones to major developers, its a LG “GW910” codenamed “Panther”
Yes, the LG Panther that has been in news for a while now, here are some photos, including the box it came in:
This is still a prototype device, there are some rough edges that needs to be polished and the OS on device seems to be getting updated every day or two, infact the packaging the phone came in is not finished, even the Windows Phone 7 logo is incorrect.
The phone seems to be very smooth and responsive, for now you need a special build of Zune (came with the phone) to sync with PC, current Zune version available to download is not compatible.
The camera works pretty well, images are sharp and clear, here’s a sample picture:
